It’s exciting to find a GAPS candy at the store!
Everyone who follows the GAPS Diet knows how rare it is to find any GAPS-friendly packaged foods, much less a sweet treat.
Well I recently stumbled upon a GAPS-friendly candy at our local grocery store, New Seasons. Heavenly Organics makes these chocolate patties with raw organic honey, organic unsweetened chocolate, and a flavored extract or oil. That’s it! They are gluten and dairy free (but are processed in a facility with other common allergens, so beware if you are super-sensitive). Of course, for your sake, I had to test them all. The ginger, mint, and pomegranate flavors were all winners in my book, but the almond seemed bland.
